Welcome to the official page for the Kingsway Women’s Amateur Team! We are proud to launch our inaugural season with an exciting and dedicated team ready to make an impact on the field. As we embark on this new chapter, our goal is to build a strong foundation for success, develop talent, and foster a positive environment for our players, coaches, and supporters.
Meet the coaches
David Ems – Head Coach
We are thrilled to have David Ems as the Head Coach for the Kingsway Women’s Amateur Team. With years of experience in coaching and player development in WAFL, David brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the team. David created a well-respected program called Fast Start Footy. It is an AFL development program designed to bridge the gap between AFL education and skills provided to junior footballers and better prepare them for WAFL and Development Squads and pathways. His passion for the game and commitment to fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence will be invaluable in guiding our players throughout the season. David is dedicated to ensuring that every player reaches their full potential and enjoys the journey along the way.

Kyra Murphy – Assistant Coach
Joining David on the coaching staff is Kyra Murphy, our Assistant Coach. Kyra’s expertise and understanding of the game will play a crucial role in the team’s growth. She is a talented Kingsway Master’s player and made her debut as a State Master’s Player in 2024. Her dedication to player development and ability to motivate players both on and off the field will contribute greatly to the success of the Kingsway Women’s Amateur Team. Kyra’s leadership style emphasises collaboration, individual development, and creating a strong, long-lasting team dynamic.

Our Vision
The Kingsway Women’s Amateur Team is committed to providing a platform for female players to thrive, both athletically and personally. We aim to promote the growth of women’s sports and create a competitive environment where players can challenge themselves, develop new skills, and achieve their goals. This inaugural season marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long and successful journey for the team, club and the broader community.

Season Goals

• Competitive Play: As we begin our first season, we aim to be competitive in every match, developing a team that plays with heart, dedication, and a desire to win.
• Community Engagement: We want to engage with our local community and create a fan base that is just as passionate about the team as our players and coaches. Your support will be integral to our success.
